Berlin, VT – Today, Vermont Republicans are very proud to announce that Dan Feliciano will be running for Auditor of Accounts as a Republican this fall.
“I’m very excited to run as a Republican for Auditor of Accounts. I look forward to an engaging debate on the Auditor’s current role and more importantly its future role.” said Dan Feliciano.
He continued: “As the state continues to face healthcare and technology expense and technology issues, it only makes sense to have an Auditor that is also experienced in proactively identifying risks, mitigating risks and developing risk monitoring tools associated with these key issues. Also, given our budget challenges, we need an Auditor that is not only skilled in fraud detection and compliance, but also skilled in identifying and making cost and service improvement recommendations to increase our capacity, not costs, to do the important work of government. I look forward to serving Vermonters.”
“Over the past 6-years Vermonters have witnessed the negative impact of the Vermont Democrat’s single party rule in Montpelier. With a lack of accountability, multi-million dollar websites that still don’t work, and state programs marked by waste and abuse, they know it’s time for a change. Dan’s professional background makes him an ideal candidate for Auditor of Accounts and Vermont Republicans are excited to have him on our team,” said Dave Sunderland, Chair of the Vermont Republicans.
With strong candidates up and down the ticket, we will be well positioned to balance Montpelier and once again make Vermont an affordable place to live. Dan is a great addition to our team.”
In the coming weeks, Dan will be releasing his positions and formally announce this campaign team.
